ITS Technology Group is rolling out its full fibre Faster Britain network to ensure that more than 4,500 businesses across Camden have access to Gigabit capable connectivity.
Camden joins a growing Faster Britain footprint across London to benefit from cost effective fibre services that can be installed in days rather than weeks or months so often quoted by other operators. The switch to pure full fibre is becoming increasingly important as copper telephone lines reach end of life at the close of 2025.
ITS has designed a route that spans across Camden from the Marylebone exchange, where it passes as far north as Kentish Town, via the world famous Camden Market, and also alongside Regents Park, and Primrose Hill. Parts of the network also pass the businesses located around important transport links including Kings Cross St Pancras and Russell Square.
I am delighted that our Gigabit capable networks will address the pent up demand for flexible ultrafast services across Camden. Faster Britain will benefit a host of established and growing sectors including manufacturing, professional services, scientific, and technical organisations, driving business growth and investment.
The same physical Faster Britain connection can take a customer from a basic broadband service through to 10Gbps connection, offering a reliable, dependable service. We are proud to be transforming Camden’s connectivity and playing our part in delivering on the government’s promise to have 100% Gigabit capability as soon as possible.
Daren Baythorpe, CEO of ITS
The entire build has benefited from a ‘dig once’ approach. By reusing existing ducts to install the full fibre cables, Faster Britain reduces the environmental impact as well as the disruption that is normally associated with a construction project of this scale.
As part of the Faster Britain programme, businesses have access to a huge choice of IT, telephony, Gigabit capable broadband and connectivity solutions via ITS’ extensive partner community, and are being encouraged to register their interest at fasterbritain.hexagondigital.design/camden
